We are excited to share with you that Security Bank of Stephens will share a common charter with our sister bank, Bank of Salem, effective August 31, 2024.
Security Bank and Bank of Salem have shared common ownership for over 42 years. Combining our two banks under one charter within Smith Associated Banking Corporation will continue our legacy as an independent, family-owned company. We remain firm in our commitment to local bankers making local decisions.
We’ll still be known as Security Bank, operating as a Division of Bank of Salem. You will see bank signage reflecting the name, “Security Bank, a Division of Bank of Salem,” beginning August 31.
When our two financially strong and secure community banks join charters on August 31st, we’ll update our banking systems and technology.
